Appian Youth
Board game Club

The Appian Youth Board Game Club is a free after-school program for students in grades 6 or higher. The program supports board game clubs at schools near Appian’s headquarters in Tysons Corner, Virginia. By playing tabletop strategy games, students develop critical-thinking skills while engaged in a fun and challenging activity. Students also have the opportunity to practice important social skills like cooperation, negotiation, and communication. Helping young people to develop these skills will give them the tools they need to achieve success both in the classroom and throughout their lives.

During the 2020-2021 school-year, we are working with partner organizations in our community to organize online boardgaming for students who are learning from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. If your organization is interested in participating, please contact Gavin Francis at gavin.francis@appian.com.
The Appian Youth Board Game Club is currently organizing an online board-gaming league for players in grades 6 or higher. The league schedules live online board-game play several times a week, during which players will learn new games and compete with fellow league members.
Each player's performance is tracked for every game played, and the  rankings of the top league players are posted online and updated each week.
The league will feature approximately 15 games throughout the school-year. League participants will have a chance to learn the games and compete for prizes. In addition, the league's top players are recognized for their performance. Participation in the league is absolutely free!
